IAF Sarang Helicopter Display Team reaches Egypt for El Alamein Airshow, where it will showcase Dhruv helicopters and perform signature aerial manoeuvres.

IAF Sarang Helicopter Team Reaches Egypt for El Alamein Airshow

The Indian Air Force (IAF) Sarang Helicopter Display Team has arrived in Egypt to participate in the second edition of the El Alamein International Airshow, scheduled from September 8 to 10 at El Alamein International Airport.

The Sarang team, described by the IAF as the world’s only five-helicopter display team, will showcase precision flying, formation manoeuvres and synchronised aerial sequences during the event.

Sarang to Showcase ALH Dhruv

The team operates the indigenously designed and manufactured Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv. Its performances are known for close-proximity formation flying and highly coordinated aerial manoeuvres.

At the airshow, Sarang will perform its signature “Dolphin Leap” manoeuvre and introduce a new manoeuvre called the “Spot Stall Turn”.

The performances will highlight the agility and versatility of the ALH Dhruv, along with the flying skills, discipline and professionalism of IAF pilots.

India-Egypt Defence Engagement

The participation marks another international engagement for the Indian Air Force and is expected to provide an opportunity to strengthen defence and diplomatic ties between India and Egypt.

The El Alamein International Airshow brings together air forces, aerospace and defence companies, as well as professionals from the global aviation and space sectors.

Sarang’s participation will also showcase India’s growing indigenous aerospace capabilities and the operational versatility of the ALH Dhruv on an international platform.
